Only short hairstyle can be acknowledged this summer too "dressed hair". Remaining are qualified rather to categories "dressed", read quite liberated, mutinous. The expression of the colour, the storm of uncontrollable curls, the smoothness trippant into the total anarchy. In a word the mutiny and the revolt.

#I'm told that since Winchester went out of business, their older rifles #have gone up in value. Pre-'64's go up in value every year, nothing new about that. #I have a beautiful Winchester .308 lever action rifle that has rarely #been fired that was a gift to me for my 16th birthday back in 1978. It's #in excellent condition and has had less than 100 rounds put thru it. #There is checkering on the stock as well as etched carvings of oak #leaves and acorns. Magazines appear to hold 5 rounds and I have 2 of #them. Lever... .308... seperate magazines... campy engraving... I'm guessing it's a Model 88.   Prized for their hunting and utility value, not a shooter's arm, value without being sure of a model number is hard, but I bet a nice 88 would fetched over $300, more in Pennsylvania. HF

# should have asked this in my last reply...are you sure the rifle is # made by Winchester, or is the receiver _style_d like a Winchester? # I've looked at an old Gun Digest (1983) and found the Browning BLR # ($394.95 in '83)to be closest to your de_script_ion.  All the Winchester # lever rifles have tube mags. Two others have e-mailed me and guessed the correct gun _base_d on my de_script_ion. The stamp on the side of the barrel in front of the receiver says Winchester Model 88, caliber .308 Win . It is a Lever action.

# I have a Savage 99C in .243.  I know this firearm is work over $2,000. # It has only been fired one time and has the orginal scape on it and the # gold trigger in very bright, wood checkering stick in mint conidition. # # Hope that helps, also you might want to get a book called Bluebook of # Gun Values # # Enjoy, and be safe # # Jack # Thanks Jack! Seems the value varies quite a bit. I'm fixin' to take it to the range tomorrow and put a small number of rounds thru it. I has the original scope and peep site setup.

Indeed... Model 88 is stamped on the barrel in front of the receiver. I found an exploded diagram of it: http://www.urban-armory.com/diagrams/win88.htm I fired it today (25 rounds for zeroing) for the first time in about 20 years... Kicks like a mule but not too painful if you hold it right. There were 15 rounds of old ammo with it, I used them up first. 3 of them refused to feed. The next 10 rounds of new Federal SW .308 fed in perfect. Good grouping, it shoots slightly high at this point (about 2 ) but still in the black so I think I'm good to go... I have a deer hunting invite.

It is Model 88. I took off my glasses and read the stamping. Nice light trigger action. I'll not be parting with this weapon anytime soon and looks like it'll be used for it's original purpose this year. I have a deer hunting invite without having to pay a lease that I cannot afford..... I'll make sure I take it out in trade tho'. At the very least, I'll buy some corn for his deer feeder.
