I am getting close to ordering a C5 after *many* years driving f-fodies and have a question.  Will a road bicycle fit in a C5 coupe?  With 3rd and 4th gen f-bodies, all I have had to do is pull off the quick release front wheel and load the bike in through the hatch.  It would be nice to be able to do the same on the C5.  BTW, I ride a pretty big bike (61 CM). If I take off both wheels I can fit my 54cm road bike (Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra & Seven Cycles Axiom) in the back without problems.  I think a 61cm might also fit.  I put the wheels in first, cover them with a large (4'x4') foam pad and place the _frame_ on top.  One of the reasons I bought the C5 was because I could put my bike in back.  Unfortunately, you can't put a bike carrier or rack on the C5. Sounds good although taking the rear wheel off is a relative PITA compared to the f-body that can swallow the _frame_ with the rear wheel attached no problem.  Oh well, guess it's a small price to pay for getting to drive the C5.  BTW, why won't some sort of bike carrier work?  I wouldn't use one anyway but what is the problem? I know f-bodies have a problem in that the hatch glass is _frame_lss and hooking the rack straps would risk breaking that *expensive* piece of glass.  Same problem in the Vette? Ray

Ray,   Many here would say that if you _base_ your decision to buy a Corvette on being able to easily transport a bike, you should not own one.  On the other hand, somewhere I saw a picture of a bike rack that attached under the body somewhere.  It cantilevered out behind and mounted a single bike.  Alas I cannot remember where, but a good search would hopefully turn it up. regards, C5Phil
