Sound familar?  Of course it does and it was 600 years older than Christianity. In the earliest days of Christianity Mithraism was the big religion that competed with Christianity.  It would seem to me that Christianity is Mithraism with a Jewish face.  An adaption.  An adoption.  A co-opting.
