wrote in message Your problem, Jerry, is that you take a piece of information that is factual (the cost of health-care is increasing) and then draw conclusions that are not rationally-_base_d (socialised medicine is to more expensive). That, in a nutshell, is why you get ridiculed. HTH You have made that claim before. And I asked you at the time to prove your assertion with some hard data....can you do that this time, or are you going to ignore the request, like you did the last time? Why should I prove your case for you, Jerry? You made the claim, you back it up. A word of advice though: you'll find it difficult to do, because you're wrong. - Ukryj cytowany tekst -- Poka? cytowany tekst -

I have said that prior to 1950 medical inflation was consistently below the Consumer Price Index. I have said that since 1950 medical inflation rose faster than the Consumer Price Index. I have said that if you understood the Economic Law of Supply and Demand, you would understand what the problem was that caused medical prices to behave as they have. I have said, that every country that has moved to a third party payment system, has the same phenomena. What else do you want me to back it up with?

payment system, has the same phenomena. What else do you want me to back it up with? that's where the codswallop deluge begins, sadly. How about some cause and effect relationship, Jerry? Lots of other, more plausible, reasons for the rise in medical costs have been advanced, so unless you can show causality, you haven't proved your case. BTW, you won't be able to, because there isn't one, except perhaps in the other direction. - Ukryj cytowany tekst -- Poka? cytowany tekst -

Probably....care to tell us what these causes are, that result in a sixty year, unbroken record of medical inflation out pacing the overall inflation rate? Care to explain, why of all the major contributors to inflation, that medical inflation stands alone in its record?
