From my study of archetypes and epic poetry, I feel that since her divorce, Diana's aspiration of being the Queen of Hearts was certainly beginning to lead her into the direction of becoming the symbolic revolutionary feminist power we need for planetary transformation. No longer was she satisfied with living by the demands of history that she had had to put up with in the early years of her marriage: producing heirs, cutting official ribbons with her cheerful smile, and walking three steps behind her husband. But even after freeing herself from a loveless marriage and escaping from the disempowerment syndrome of being the Princess Victim who suffered from suicidal attempts, bulimia and betrayal by the opposite sex, it finally looked as if she was evolving away from being a feminine icon used to manipulate the true nature of womankind, to a woman who has found her own internal strength and reason for existence. Only then we can begin to channel our energies into building ecovillages within the wastelands of the megalopolises which are spreading out of control. Only then will we find the sovereignty needed to evolved our species to a Neu level of awareness so that the dream of Neutopia and her vision of building a network of arcologies of true love can begin to see the light of day. Diana was wise enough to know when she stated that, The biggest disease this world suffers from is people feeling unloved. So where are the Kings of Hearts who really know how to love and be creative partners with women of power? Or is the image of a King of Hearts but another unrealistic fairy tale? Must I come to the conclusion that in the post- modern world, there are no more heroes who live for love anymore? Please don't. It's not. We're still here, just as much as you are there. I discussed a similar idea with a female friend, and I think we agreed that most of the problems faced in relationships seem to be socially derived, such as fitting into the gender moulds for responses and reactions. Living for love is not a dead quest.  But is it not the core of the Arthurian Grail? There is nothing that says that you have to live without money, position and meat in order to be an effective force for positive change. Those things don't determine the amount of love a person can give, either. Nature's cycle in life reflects death and change just as much as it includes life and nurturing. If the Neutopia doesn't include that, I want no part of it.
