I'm a Beauty Therapist and one thing we are taught is extractions.  We dont reccomend extractions of papules, pustules or white heads but we do of closed and opened comedones.  An opened commedone is a blackhead and a closed commedone is one of those small hard white bumps found around your eyes or cheeks that just dont go away. If you cant afford to go to a Beauty Therapist to have blackheads extracted then do it yourself. Steam your face gently - not too close to the hot water - over a bowl of hot water with a towel over your face. Clean your skin and hands thouroughly and then wrap a tissue around each pointer finger so you dont slip or cause bacteria. Gently squeeze around blackheads pushing down and in and then up and in. The tiny white wormy things coming out are blocked pores and blackheads. The more you extract at once the more peeling may occur afterwards but the peeling only lasts a couple of days. Wipe the area with astringent and you'll soon be blackhead free.
