Big and proud return to the classics, shapely, feminine lines of head-dresses or Afro it is the alternative not only on the carnival. In this season we observe return to the classics. Very strong lines of hair-cuttings, geometrical, sharp cuts - that's dominating. The classics does not mean however the boredom, oldschool quiet, classical forms broken they are futuristic asymmetries. A base of neat, feminine head-dresses is the sharp cut showing the face and neck, asymmetric, simple fringes exhibiting the face.

discount 1st Cheap Day Return with a YPR discount? Or am I being hoodwinked?
As I was selecting my tickets for the journeys I will undertake between LAP and BFR next week (I was using the NXEC booking site), I noticed that a 1st Cheap Day Return was being sold *with* the YPR discount. I know full well that a YPR will not get you a discount off 'most First Class fares' (in the words of the Railcard site) but I was still surprised to see this option (the 1st Class 'FCC One Day Travelcard Plus' ticket was being sold with the discount as well). The TVMs at LAP offered the discount as well (for travel today) and I almost bought one until I noticed that the next train I wanted had no 1st Class seating. The Trainline also offered the discount (except I chose ZFD as the destination as all the 1st Class fares to BFR were unavailable). The de_script_ion of the ticket includes Railcard discounts on both NXEC and TTL (although TTL spouted some rubbish about it being confined to the Thames Trains area) but there was no mention of a YPR. Despite this I've bitten the bullet and have a discounted ticket (worth £10.55) for next Wednesday (along with the booking confirmation) - is it worth going ahead with it or am I risking a £20 PF at the very least? On another note, a full price First Open Return from LAP to London is 40p cheaper than its full price First Day Return equivalent.

TOCs continue to be inconsistent, and sometimes unadvertised, over YP discounts on their own First Class tickets. In August 2007, it was possible to buy Midland MainLine First Advance singles from Leeds to St Pancras with a YP discount - I remember one ticket cost £11.95. By December 2007 the discount was no longer available, but I thought £18 was still good value for some 200 miles First Class on Christmas Eve. John

WTF does LAP,BFR,NXEC,YPR,FCC,TVM and ZFD mean? Does anyone actually write in English these days? Sky Rider < This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it wrote in message TVM stands for TV Movie.  But I'm not sure what that's got to do with train tickets.

WTF does LAP,BFR,NXEC,YPR,FCC,TVM and ZFD mean? Does anyone actually write in English these days?   What does WTF mean?   NXEC - National Express East Coast (the ICEC franchise )   YPR  - Young Peoples Railcard   FCC  - First Capital Connect   I'm at odds with these three which are obviously places:     LAP     BFR     ZFD   and those:     TVM   - maybe Ticket Vending Machine?     TTL   - cartainly not Transistor-Transistor Logic in this context Cheers, L.W.
