We should show our individuality not only across the style of dressing ourselves, but also by our head-dresses.
According to latest tendencies, head-dresses have to be as most natural. - We turn already to natural slaughter-houses, to the natural texture of hair. Such which can be blow-dried, does not it is necessary them to press with the iron, does not it is necessary them to turn on brushes, absolutely not to comb back, rolls on the head also already are not necessarily  timely - Philip Galas  speaks. - We found  that these natural head-dresses, completely free, completely loose, this this is, what to wear will be.

NIGERIA Beauty pageant riot leaves one dead Posted Mon, 03 Nov 2003 Rumours of the staging of a beauty pageant provoked rioting on a Nigerian campus between Muslim and Christian students, leaving one dead and dozens injured, witnesses said on Monday. Oh not this *again*.   When the Miss World pageant showed up in Nigeria last year, the Nigerian Muslims went on a killing spree, driving the contest out.  Some folks were lucky to get out alive. I can't believe anyone in their right mind would even think about staging such a contest there in the foreseeable future. Don't these people ever learn? As long as it is profitable to exploit women (treating them as sex _object_s), I suppose people will continue to promote beauty pageants. However, it is natural that such abuse runs against the grain in many non-Christian societies, and so promoters of beauty pageants should confine themselves to where people are not that sensitive about how women are treated. However, for some reason, promoters sometimes fail to do that.

Well, yes, one would think after last year's *disaster* there, that Nigeria might not be the best place on the planet to have a beauty contest anytime soon.

You are not going to like my reply to your two points. Freedom has different meanings, and those meanings are always ideological. For example, freedom defined as the lack on constraint on your doing as you wish within the confines of what is legal is ideological in that it appropriate to a capitalism in which choices are _base_d on profit maximalization, not their social consequences. Anything legal is acceptable. Another definition of freedom, which is having the capacity to achieve one's aims, is also ideological, for it is associated with social empowerment and hence with substantial democracy. Therefore, to insist that you have the right to hold a display that abuses women because there is no law against it is both parochial and arrogant. If by sexual apartheid you mean the protection of women from the world by veiling them or discouraging their participation in the rough and tumble of society at large, then we again have a situation that is not simply right or wrong, but reflects culturally different approaches to achieve a social good. A western attitude is basically permissive, only passing laws to discourage the worst forms of abuse, and otherwise does not make society responsible for how women are treated. In other places, social norms can be pro-active, making responsibility for women's wellbeing primary. We need to understand the difference between the way that is sometimes carried out, which tends to be old fashioned and culture-bound, and its purpose, which, outside capitalist society, is never old fashioned or culture-bound. I'm not defending one approach or the other, but merely suggesting that assuming only the former is legitimate and dismissing the latter as intended to harm women, is simply another example of parochialism and arrogance that seems an effect of happening to reside in an imperial society.

This has nothing to do with race. It is the followers of the daemon god, Allah, Jehovah or God the Father, as the daemon is known. Did they name a cheese after you? BroJack Wow, my hair is singed. That was on hot flame. Cheesy retort, even from a whigger. BroJack
