The worst haircolor ever on me was my natural color dark brown.  I hated it on me so bad. That's why I began dyeing it six years ago. I had black red hair once. It wasn't too bad but black wasn't for me either.      Then, I tried to go blonde and it didn't work. Instead, it's red blonde now. I covered it up last month with a light red dye. Sometimes, I hate it when people call any type of red hair even auburn brown when it's not. I've known some people who didn't like red hair to start with. A friend told me to go platinum. I would like to try it but with long hair and my features who knows. Considering, the Ive dark roots that grow in all the time, it would be a lot to have the bleach them a few times, lighten them and then have them come out all wrong or damage my hair. I had another person tell me to go  back to my natural color and put blonde highlights in. I will never do that. I'll never understand some people who have the nerve to tell you what you should and shouldn't do with yourself when it comes to haircolor, makeup, clothes. I'll never understand why some people don't care for redheads. All that matters is if you're happy with it and no one can ever bring you down about it.         Yeah, I know I have a big obsession with haircolor. I'm absolutely in love with red hair any color. I would like an orange kind of color sometime. I wonder if I would have to bleach it and then who knows what color it will turn out. Anyway, sorry for ranting on. Raine who needs to get her eyebrows fixed this weekend I also look best as a redhead, and my natural colour (a mousy icky brown) was the worst on me. I've been pink, purple, majenta, red, light red, orange, yellow, copper blonde, blonde, green, blue-green (didn't quite make it to blue with that dye), blue, brown, aurburn, burgundy, black, and the only one that didn't really suit me at all was the blonde. I'm pretty lucky to have a complexion that will compliment most of the above. What other colours would I like to try? White, light pink.. and a heap of cool blends etc. I currently have copper blonde, but I'll be popping red over it when I get up the energy to. I also get a bit peeved at people that try to tell you stuff like 'oh, I'm so glad that you got rid of the black, you looked gothic!' as if it was an insult *laughs* Especially when it is parents who say it. I even got glares from people in a shopping centre, when I had green hair. However, I guess the good thing is that I also get a heap of compliments, and that's always a good thing. Sanura

Probably the single most unflattering and harsh haircolor for me is black.  It highlighted every single blemish and flaw on my face, and made me look at least ten years older than I really was.   Second to black is platinum blonde.  Not quite as harsh and aging as black, but still very unflattering. I look best in colors ranging from dark wine/burgandy red to darkest brown with definate burgandy or plummy tones.  Cooler reds, not orange-y reds.   I also look okay in chocolate brown colors. I'd like to try dark brown with subtle streaks in various shades of burgandy and plum, but have not been willing to commit to the expense of it.   Tracy

I've had my hair every color of the rainbow except orange.  Red, blue, green, yellow, dark/light purple, blue, black, burgundy, fuschia, cotton candy pink, white, and my natural blonde.  I think the only colors I really hated were the pinks.  They made ALL my facial flaws just pop out, and it annoyed me terribly.  I think I look good as a blonde, but I'd never go back to it, just because it's no fun.  Currently, my hair is SFX Deep Purple in the front, and Clarol Nice n Easy Blue Black in the back.  I love these colors on me, and I'm not sure if they will change any time soon After the rain, *AtrophyAnnie*

I'm another one of the hair every colour under the sun brigade. Its been pretty much every colour I can think of during my time and I've liked them all. However I think the ones I think work best on me are the cooler shades of red and pink, and dark brown/black. I've currently got ebony black and scarlet red and its been this colour combination for about a year now, which is the longest I've ever kept a colour scheme. I'm a natural dirty blonde and I loved my hair a really nice golden blonde shade, however that required a lot of highlights and salon treatments, which were just too expensive. The current colour I can keep in check and home and pay for a professional to manage every couple of months. The only colours I really hated were the results of bad dye jobs and not intentional. I once went a horrible shocking orange after bleaching up red and that was hideous. I think blonde can be a very difficult colour to do if its not your natural shade. Silent www.silentlybound.co.uk

I actually like my natural colour, some days.  It's a brownish auburn, and some days (and some lighting) it looks very red.  Other days it looks more brownish and I get bored with it, and then I start trying different colours.  I like SFX Deep Purple a lot... I want to go burgundy next.  I also thought about having it professionally dyed natural red (as opposed to fire engine red) for Halloween, but haven't decided.  (Isn't it funny, to dye your hair a normal colour for Halloween?)
