a good friend asked me for some help from the web. how can she find a good hair _style_? a friend of mine is having trouble finding a good hair _style_ for herself. a professional woman who goes to a beauty shop every 5 weeks.  hair cut, to loose  gray, etc. my friend has had short hair in the past, but the comments back are she looks like a nun.   she had long  straight hair when she was in college, and now she has long hair with some curl near the ends. she tells me she is not happy with it, doesn't look very good, i have to agree with her. how can she find a good hair _style_ to fit her shape face?  who can she turn to, for help?   we have both seen BIG make-overs on the ophra show, on women seen on the show ,  it shows the before and after pictures, WOW! what a change.  my friend would like to see if she can find a change like she sees on those pictures.  i would love to halp her if i can, like asking here for help. can any one help her/us out. thanks ps  please e mail me directly if possible ted

I hate to say it, but I really think trial and error is the best way to find a hair_style_ that suits your face (rather, your friend's face). But you can't go just by face shape!! I speak from personal experience that between face shape and hair type (fine, thick, etc), HAIR TYPE is the most important factor! I have very very fine hair, and once I let a stylist _layer_ it to suit my face shape , and it ended up being the worst haircut I have ever had...because my hair would not _style_ the way she cut it. No matter what kind of gels, etc. I put on it, the _layer_s always ran together and looked horrible. Now, I make sure that I don't get any kind of haircut that my fine hair won't hold....
