Hey gang, its been a very, very, long time since the last article but I've been unavoidably detained which really translates to having been ultra-busy with finishing the patent for SALVARE.  Luckily, for everyone concerned-(especially me), I'm back in the saddle again and ready to roll with some cutting edge information that everyone will be talking about for months to come.  Hold on to your toupee because I'm about to blow your mind (and your cheap hair club weave, too!).  Many of you might vaguely remember that I had dedicated an enormous amount of my time (not to mention the even larger amount of money) performing research in the area of androgenic alopecia (male pattern baldness).  My interest wasn't just academic secondary to the fact that I was personally experiencing notable hair loss thanks to the great genes that I seemed to have inherited.  To make matters worse, my bodybuilding endeavors-especially my supplement use-had accelerated my hair loss to the point that thirty year old women were calling me sir !  My medical training allowed me to approach my hair loss crisis in ways that were unavailable to laypeople and thus began my long but ultra-rewarding search for an answer to my hair loss plague.  First of all, my initial research wasn't very scientific since it was borne out panic rather than planning.  As embarrassing as it may be, I will proceed to share a little of my journey with you so that you get a good grasp of where I've had to go to get what I've gotten (I hope you still respect me in the morning).  I was about 21 years old when I first noted some mild scalp hair thinning in the frontal regions of my precious wig.  I just figured that my hair loss was a temporary result of some dieting that I had been doing to cut some body fat.  Little did I know that when I ceased dieting that my hair had no intention of reappearing.  Being the obsessive person that I am, I began to search for ways to coax (or blast) my lost hair into regrowth.  I looked into some over-the-counter treatments since I had no ability to prescribe medication at that time.  The first attempt at hair stimulation I tried was a shampoo that contained the chemical irritant produced by sea nettles (jellyfish).  The idea behind the shampoo was to increase the circulation in the scalp-a very reasonable approach-but the problem was that the shampoo burned so badly that I thought that I was being attacked by giant wasps with every wash.  In addition, the chemical increased circulation by irritating the scalp, which actually compounded the hair loss problem.  You see, there is a low-grade inflammatory response already associated with androgenic alopecia so any additional irritation only makes matters worse-I'll discuss that principle in more detail a little later.  So after scalding my head with jellyfish tentacles for a while to no avail, I decided to utilize a more conservative approach to regrowing my hair.  The next attempt to regain hair was fashioned in the same vein as my first attempt-increasing scalp circulation.  This time I used minoxidil topically in the areas I found wanting
