OK, here's the problem.  I've been growing-out my hair for the big day (July13) for some time so that I could have some sleek, elegant updo.  My bangs are the length of the rest of my hair (fairly long), but I have these crazy little wispy baby-hairs along my hair line that stick right up and look absolutely absurd.  While I'm sure that my hair stylist for the wedding will be able to work with it, I'm not sure that I'll be able to remedy the situation when I go to get my university graduation pictures done on Monday. I could go get a cut before the pictures, and cut my bangs again to cover up the wispy things so that I won't look like I electrocuted myself, but then I won't have the same options for my wedding day.  I know I'm sounding really vain right about now, but pictures last forever (or close to it) and I can't be the only one having these kind of difficulties, right? Oh, another problem is that, when looking for nice wedding day hair _style_s in the bridal magazines, I noticed that ALL of the models have long hair with no bangs!!!  Is there any websites with nice hair_style_s or anything that I could look at to help? Another thought would be to try a bookstore around this time of year - there will be teenage magazines with all kinds of Prom hair_style_s, some might be too young-looking, but I bet you could get some good ideas to start from there. I have a question... Why do brides all want updos that they will probably never have again... I am so glad that I wore my hair the way that I normally did... It was a more elaborate version of it but it was long and down... I looked like me... When my daughter had her hair done for her wedding, she too decided to wear her hair down.. It was pulled back from her face with tendrils but it was down the way she normally wore it only curlier... She looked beautiful and definite like herself... I'd suggest that you do get your hair cut for the graduation picture and then have your hairdresser play with your hair a few weeks before the wedding... I'm sure if she is good, she can make your hair look special but still let people recognize you in pictures years from now... The models in the bridal magazines are just clothes racks for the dresses and the reason that their hair is pulled back and sleek is so that you don't see the hair but see the dress that they are trying to sell...

What are bangs? Rachel (confused in the UK.) I think they're what you guys would call fringe ...the shorter hair that goes on your forehead.
