On the other hand, as a phone it's ace. Visual Voicemail is a killer app for me. Mostly avoid voicemail myself, but I do use picture messaging, send sms to multiple recipients and use my phone as a Bluetooth modem, so the iPhone is a bit of a non-starter here. So from your point of view, it doesn't matter how much memory it has, as it is a non-starter for you. For me though, I don't send multiple SMSs, use picture messaging or use the phone as a bluetooth modem often, so it is really just the contract letting it down. There are other things I would like, but I could live with them. With 16MB and a decent contract, I would get it. With 32MB and decent contract, I would get it tommorow.

As it is I find the 16GB iPod touch a bit restrictive too, and 32GB would be the ideal size. My current iPod has more than 32Gb of music on it. It would have to be a 64Gb version (of iPhone or touch) to get me interested.

Recently ended up chosing between the Nokia 6110 Navigator for free and an N85 8gb for a token amount, and went with the 6110 because the 8 gigs seemed like complete overkill in a phone (already got an iPod Touch), and hey, free satnav!

Did you mean an N85? I didn't think they have one.

(ray) said: If you consider the market into which Apple launched the iPhone, no other cellphone has more storage capacity. -Every- other cellphone has more storage capacity. They all use swappable cards... Even if the phone recognises the larger capacity cards, that's not built in memory, which is what I meant. Plus it's an additional expense on top of a price which in many cases is greater than the purchase price of an iPhone.
