Help!  I have been booth renting in a nails only salon for almost three years now. I'm very busy and like the people and the salon. I have a chance to open my own salon with three friends that will rent from me.  I've know them all for several years and trust them and think it will all work out fine. This oportunity will never happen again. My problem is when should I tell the owner that I rent from now?  You know how it can be.  They get wind you are leaving and they ask you to leave that day.  I don't want to inconveiniance my customers (which I brought with me to this salon). I don't want to leave before I have a place to go, but want to give at least two weeks notice. Any ideas?

I've only been thrown out one time from a salon after giving my 2 weeks notice. It was a salon where I was an employee. All other salons, 4 of them where I booth rented, all accepted my 2 weeks notice. As a booth renter it is in the salons best interest to take the 2 weeks extra rent instead of throwing you out on the spot and throwing out 2 weeks rent.
