I don't even watch the show (Gilmore Girls), but I am 98% convinced that it will see Fall 2007. As Rob stated, any brand new show in that time slot would be a huge risk.  Look what happened when Ostroff swapped Everwood with Runaway. The CW needs to get all their ducks in a row, like right now.  This is pilot season.  They need to come up with another Dawson's Creek type show. Too bad The OC didn't get that fifth season pickup, but it was wishful thinking on my part.

I don't disagree with your basic assessment of likelihood of renewal for various shows, I just don't necessarily agree with all the processes you used to get there (that OTH got better ratings behind ANTM than VM did, and is getting better ratings behind BATG than VM did is enough by itself to establish that VM is closer to the bubble). Ah, real reasons that OTH is safer than VM.  I agree.
