The good shampoo, the nutrient and the foam will assure the head-dress the efficient protection . You need not choose between the health and the beautiful head-dress. Even after the removal of the cap, your hair can look nicely. It will suffice that you will provide yourself into preparations which will protect it and will add to them vitalities.

I'm kind of upset with the woman who does my hair. I've been going to her on and off (she's expensive) for about 8 years. I asked her if she'd do my hair on my wedding day...a 10:30 a.m. mass. She has a 1-yr.-old and says she won't/can't ge to the store to do my hair before 8 a.m. My photographer is coming by 9 a.m. And I was going to have my makeup done. I could do my makeup first. But I kind of feel like she really doesn't value me as a customer very much at all. I'm inclined to go to another woman who cuts hair out of her house. She'd also be cheaper. But I haven't gone to her in a while. (maybe a year.) What would you do? Susan Hawaii Bound

But I haven't gone to her in a while. (maybe a year.) What would you do? Um, no offense, but this woman has *kids*.  It's one thing to do things during your regular business hours, and very much another thing to try to be at work before your regular business hours, especially if you don't usually work that early in the morning.  The fact that she's expensive means that you pay her a certain fee for an agreed-upon service, not that she therefore will be at your beck and call. Does she own the shop?  Perhaps she can't set the store hours or get permission to get in there that early.  Perhaps she feels that it isn't within her business practice to do what she doesn't feel comfortable doing.  Perhaps she would have to get a babysitter to be able to come in and do your hair at that time. Personally, I think that you're trying to put your personal life above her personal and business life.  IF you pressured her to do this before 8:00 am, she might be thinking of her baby, might not be as awake or paying attention, and that could really mess up her attitude, your response, and your hair. Now, if you *really* want her to do your hair, you have to do it at a time when she's available.  Not everyone can do above and beyond the call of duty and it shouldn't be *expected* for her to do so.  So, you could get the makeup done first, and then get to her shop.  Or, you could ask her whether she could do a church visit and do your hair at the church *just basic styling and updo, not washing, obviously).  I know a few brides who had their hairdressers get to the church about an hour and a half before the service started

as a customer very much at all. Because she can't/won't get up and do your hair at 7 am on a Saturday morning???  How dare she place the interests of her child before your hairdo! Doesn't she know the entire world is supposed to grind to a stop on your wedding day? This is a *business* relationship, and she is perfectly en_title_d to set limits on when she is willing to provide her services. This has nothing to do with how much she values you as a customer. If she isn't available when you need her, hire someone else. But don't be upset with her because she can't accommodate your schedule.

Susan Hawaii Bound Hmmmm.  Interesting.  An on and off customer wouldn't be my greatest motivation for doing your hair.  While good customer service would have her doing what she can for you, I understand her reluctance to commit to your time_frame_. I don't think you should resent her choice to be unavailable. When is your wedding, Susan?  Do you have time for a hair trim or two with your HomeShop woman?  Let her reacquaint herself with your hair.  If she can accommodate your schedule, or if she goes out of her way *at all* on your behalf, be sure to tip her very generously.  And go back at least once with pictures.  *^_^* -Barb, MOB 8/31/96
