We should show our individuality not only across the style of dressing ourselves, but also by our head-dresses. According to latest tendencies, head-dresses have to be as most natural. - We turn already to natural slaughter-houses, to the natural texture of hair. Such which can be blow-dried, does not it is necessary them to press with the iron, does not it is necessary them to turn on brushes, absolutely not to comb back, rolls on the head also already are not necessarily timely - Philip Galas speaks. - We found that these natural head-dresses, completely free, completely loose, this this is, what to wear will be. |

I have wavy hair, and love it straight but since mother doesn't want to invest in the permanent hair straightening technique, the only thing that I can find that works is using a clothes iron on a table. It works great but mom has her doubts and I would like to know if doing this damages my hair or not. I'd also like to know if you have any happy or sad stories or any suggestions about straightening your hair. Thank you very much. (geepers, you'd think i was asking for a tatoo of a curse across my forehead or something. when will mothers ever learn....) ~aidan

Go to a beauty supply store like Ulta, Trade Secret, Beautyworks, Crown, or Regis and get a Hot Tools straightening iron. If you don't have a beauty supply store near you, you can go to a drug store and buy a Conair hair straightening iron in the aisle where they sell curling irons and hair dryers. You can get one at the drugstore for about 18 dollars or at a beauty supply store for about thirty five dollars. I have a Hot Tools one and I like it because there is a heat dial on it that I can turn up or down to adjust the temperature. It helps if you deep condition your hair once every 7 to 10 days if you use a straightening iron, however, just to fight the frizzies and to help save yourself from getting frayed, dry ends, regardless of the length of your hair. You don't have to pay an arm and a leg for one, either. You can get a deep conditioner by Clairol Herbal Essences, L'oreal Hydravive, St. Ives, Aussie Three Minute Miracle, or Salon Selectives at the same drug store as where you buy the straightening iron. I want to know about these permanent hair straightening techniques! When I asked about chemical straightening at the salons locally they say that is really isn't permanent and doesn't work well (especially considering how very curly my daughters hair is.) Is there some process that really straightens...I'm a mom that would be willing to pay. My daughters dream is to have straight hair. LOL AG

Is there some process that really straightens...I'm a mom that would be willing to pay. My daughters dream is to have straight hair. LOL AG I had been getting perms for 11 yrs. When I decided I didn't want them anymore I cut my hair to a chin length bob with the intentions of just cutting the perm out as my hair grew. That got old quick so I had my hair straightened. It took just fine and it didn't damage my hair or anything. Don't remember the price, it was 5 yrs ago. When I got it straightened they said it could have been done on long hair, that I didn't need to cut my hair and keep cutting the perm out. Rats. Ask around about straightening. I don't regret doing it at all.

Eventually your natural hair grows out no matter what chemical you slop on it. However check out http://www.phitenusa.com/yukosystem/ for further info. I agree about the unscented thing. Unscented products to me smell bad. - kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk - 4/2/02
