Hi, I've read good things in alt.fashion about shopping at Thrifty drugs. There is no Thrifty drugs here in Chicago, so I was wondering if this is only on the west coast? Also, what is a good bargain place in the mid-west that is equivalent (or is there a Thrifty drug store here that I don't know about?). Anyone who knows, please let me know (I like to pay less for my cosmetics since I buy so much of them!). By the way, for those that may remember, I miss F&M and Phar Mor! I buy my cosmetics at department stores and drug stores.  Sometimes, Target. Mostly, though, I stick to major department stores. Jeannine

I live in the NJ/Philly area. If I'm buying drugstore brands, I go to either Drug Emporium or RX Place. (always seem slighly cheaper than other stores) If I'm buying other normal department store stuff I'm familiar with, I go to Macys or Strawbridges at the local mall If I'm buying new products or makeup artists stuff , then I go to Nordstroms (45 mins drive) because the sales reps are good, they have a large selection of brands and products and they have a flexible return policy which is good when things don't work out for you.
