I was sorting through my makeup recently (I keep my small pile of everyday stuff in a vanity drawer and the remainder in a jewelry armoire) and rediscovered one of my earliest a.f. purchases, Paula Dorf cake mascara.  I remembered loving it

That was my first mascara, too.  G.C. Murphy (the old five & dime ).  I don't remember what it cost, but I'm betting it was less than a dollar. I guess by definition, this stuff can't be waterproof.  Too bad though because I love the consistency of it. cofarb Arrgh.. I never wear waterproof mascara anyway, so you have pushed me over the edge to try this stuff!  My eyes are my best feature, so I always spend 90% of my morning makeup time on them, anyway.  A little extra primping time would go unnoticed. I've only noticed the Lola cake mascara online.. are there any good cheaper ones that you know of? Jennifer, excited to try a whole new kind of product!
