I have the La femme stuff and don't think it's any great shakes. Mascara is one of those products that's been greatly improved by technological advances. whereas I love mine. different strokes. Diana, you're a pro. I'm sure you're doing a much better job of stroking it on than I am. So what am I doing wrong? I use a regular spiral spoolie mascara brush. Should I be blending it with something other than water?

I'm someone with mixed feelings about cake mascara.  I bought an Elizabeth Arden one about fifteen years ago, and I have to say I didn't use it much, and don't miss it, either. It's sort of a novelty makeup item, in my opinion.  For this climate, it's just not practical.  In rain or snow, unless they've developed a waterproof one, it would be all over the place.  Makeup artists may love it - the coverage is wonderful, if I recall, but it's so darn messy and time consuming.  I have to say also, that I've never had a mascara as BLACK as that one.  If you happened to rub your eye - it was all over, though. I like spoolie brushes for cake mascara, and I prefer to mix it with eyeliner sealer, like Paula Dorf transformer or the identical and less expensive La Femme eyeliner sealer. that makes it much more smudge resistant. -Diane Thanks for the idea, Diane!  I never really found the PD transformer to be all that helpful with doing the eye shadow to liner thing.  (All eye liner seems to vanish on me no matter what I do.)  I will give it a shot with the cake mascara. cofarb - Ukryj cytowany tekst -- Poka? cytowany tekst -
