Lundberg Rice Recipe Contest Lundberg Family Farms, the largest growers of organic rice in the United States, celebrates the great taste of specialty rice by announcing its second annual rice recipe contest! Prizes: First place: $500 cash, plus $100 worth of Lundberg merchandise Second place: $300 cash, plus $50 worth of Lundberg merchandise Third place: $150 in cash, plus $50 worth of Lundberg merchandise Ten finalists: All receive a rice cooker from Lundberg Rules: Deadline: Entries must be received or postmarked no later than March 30, 2002. Winners will be notified after May 1, 2002. Criteria: Entries will be judged on taste, ease of preparation and creativity. Recipe must be original and include at least one cup of Lundberg Family Farms variety or mixture: Golden Rose, Sushi, Brown or White Basmati, Brown or White Long Grain, Brown Short Grain, White Arborio, White or Brown Jasmine, Sweet Brown, Wild Blend, Wehani®, or Black Japonica. Judging: Recipes will be scored equally on the following seven parameters: 1) Percentage of rice used in dish 2) Ease of preparation and length of preparation time 3) Nutritional content 4) Flexibility (other types of rice can be used) 5) Flavor and texture 6) Overall concept appeal 7) Creativity Eligibility: This contest is open worldwide to adults 18 years of age and older.
