http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vegeta_(food) It is, apparently, a flavor booster - maybe like seasoned salt? It is available up here...salt mostly with dried veggie specks (carrot, something green, red bell pepper etc...) in it as well as I believe chicken bulion powder as it is yellowish. It's AFAIK a polish dealie...isn't avail down there? If you want some I'll check on it as I bought some 2 or 3 yrs ago and haven't been looking for it since so I don't remember seeing it since. Bought it last at the same place I get my pickeled sweet banana peppers. The name is Central meats but everyone calls it the place with a cow on the roof...mostly a eastern european butcher store. Best place hands down for keilbassa, perogies, and seasonal holiday hams as they make and smoke their own. Also a good place to buy 1/4 or 1/2 cow or pig freezer ready. The vegeta is a seasoned salt. Works good on nuked 'steamed' brocolli flowerets. I think vegeta comes in differing blends. As I think I saw different coloured bags of the stuff. Excuse my breath keilbasa and cheddar cheese cubes for lunch. If you want me to look selob at mts dot net tell me and give me my instructions, OH jammy one...
