We should show our individuality not only across the style of dressing ourselves, but also by our head-dresses. According to latest tendencies, head-dresses have to be as most natural. - We turn already to natural slaughter-houses, to the natural texture of hair. Such which can be blow-dried, does not it is necessary them to press with the iron, does not it is necessary them to turn on brushes, absolutely not to comb back, rolls on the head also already are not necessarily timely - Philip Galas speaks. - We found that these natural head-dresses, completely free, completely loose, this this is, what to wear will be. |

It all came to my mind again when Kili posted a pic of a platter of chicken thighs for her and her husband. I think I counted nine. My first thought was along the lines of, Holy crap! That's a lot of chicken for two people. When I fix chicken for myself and for Rob, I usually figure two smallish pieces each

Roasting a chicken? Why not two of them? One gets split in half and each half is wrapped and frozen for future meals. Overall, we probably should eat more veggies and less meat, but most meals are a reasonable portion, at least by US standards. Yep, that sounds like us, Edwin. If we're going to cook, let's cook and eat leftovers! It's so much easier to heat something up than it is to prepare it all over again. kili Some foodwriters speak of using planned-overs, a dish of ample portions so that some will be used as the basis for another meal, rather than an accidental amount left to be used another time. Then, of course, are those foods which benefit from advance preparation and second-time-aroundness.

I get 5 patties from a pound of ground beef. That's like a 3.2 ounce burger *before* cooking.... if that fatty preground mystery meat after cooking it'll be less than 2 ounces... a very small child's portion, hardly worth dirtying your buns. With your kinda burgers why bother cooking at all... you'd be far better off ordering a Slider at White Castle. http://whitecastle.com/_pages/menu.asp

Sheldon wrote there're a lot of ways to prepare cooked meats. ?A portion for me is usually one breast half and maybe part of another (cats eat most of a half). ?With whole roasters I'll eat about a quarter (again I share with six cats so it never comes out evenly). ?And I really like cold Cats? ?My bad, I thought you had dogs and i was about to hit you up for some dog food ideas <grin. I am the recent happy owner of 2 'unadoptable' rescue pets. ?Daisy, the cat due to being very shy around people (exceptionally so, we are the only family in 18 months who made an offer but she is a lap kitty with us. Slated to be euthanized just as we applied). ?Cash (beagle mix, suspected but no way to confirm, may be part bull mastiff or part english bulldog) who had heartworms pretty bad so no one wanted him. ?Will need lifelong special care. ?Espensive to adopt too as they pass on the medical treatment costs to the adopter (190$ and not even neutered yet because of health reasons). Anyways, was gonna hit you up for dog recipes <g. ?He needs heart heathy low-sodium ones and while like all dogs, he needs protien, he's not suited to a full meat diet (digestive problems, not to be fed the highest end almost 100% protein stuff). ?He's also underweight by at least 2 lbs, possibly 7 still. ?Imagine a beagle of 41.5 lbs being underweight! ?hehehe he's a mix obviously. ?First glance, big beagle. ?Second take, OHMYGHOD BIG MUSCLED BEAGLE! ?Due to his age and still filling out, they arent sure of his optimum weight yet, just that he's short of it still. ?And no, he's not as big as a bull mastiff, just body conformation measures match that real close. ?Personaility, typical airheaded beagle. Oh, sorry. ?Got a little OT there didnt I? There are lots of do-it-yourself pet food recipe web sites; search <homemade dog food. I don't know the health issues with your animals so I can't make exact recommendations (you should discuss this with your Vet) but I know many of the concoctions include cooked rice and veggies with lean cooked meats... if you're serious about making your own pet food a good meat grinder is a must. My cats are fed a combination of dried cat food (Meow Mix), canned cat food (they all share 2 cans of Fancy Feast the times I don't have suitable people food), and about 30 pct people foods. Whatever you choose do not skimp on quality (no scraps) Vet bills are costly. Yep, Sheldon's correct. Many vets say to feed pets rice and lamb. Discuss this with your vet, but thank you so very much for taking on these two. :~) kili
