healthy quick recipe Father needs healthy & quick recipes...

Greetings For reasons that I won’t go into, I find that I need to take a much more active role in feeding my 3 boys (11, 8 and 5 years old), myself, and my wife. I work full time, so I’ m looking for recipes that I can make quickly when I get home, or that I can set up before I go to work and finish when I get home. My wife does not work, so I could also ask her to put something that I have pre-made into the oven, but I really would like to take all the pressure of meal preparation off her shoulders. I’d like to limit fast food / take out to once a week. Healthy meals and speed of preparation are primary concerns. Cost (at least for awhile) is only a minor concern. If I could get a dozen good recipes, I could get on a two-week cycle that would make shopping easy, and give my family enough variety so that they won’t mutiny. Thank you in advance for your help. Brett

I got some books written by Pol Martin (Easy Cooking for Today, Vol I and II) that had quite a few quick (30 minutes or less) types of recipes that were pretty darned good.

I haven't actually put this into practise, but I do have some sites: http://members.aol.com/oamcloop/index.html http://organizedhome/ Penny Gaines PS If she is not well, I hope your wife gets better soon.

Did you taste test any of them on the raccoons Glen? Nope. One of the reasons that I recommended Pol Martin's books is that I have enjoyed all of his recipies that I have tried, so the raccoons didn't get to try any of them. The other reason that I recommended his books was that they were all pretty easy to prepare

You might find the frozen vegetable combinations useful. You can typically throw in some meat or eggs and stir-fry the vegetables. This saves a fair amount of time in shopping, washing and cutting. michael
