wrote in message I'm not supporting Barry, Charles, Stopped Down View or whatever he calls himself today, I am trying to get you to support your allegations. post the mandate here and point out specifically what part of of it Barry is violating. Also, if you think there is a group more specific to his subject material direct us to it. Sure Carter. I think Barry's post are on the borderline of commercial ads......didn't he mention something about a book here not long ago? He wasn't trying to sell it IIRC. Was he? Secondly, it is not a general topic, rather it is just recipies. Thirdly, if you look at the history of Barry's post it does not general discussion, other than 'your making me hungry', I hate you...etc. I have to agree with you there. Finally, and most importantly, if there are other newsgroups designated for such a post, his post should be routed there, and not nf.general. Here is some newsgroups as you requested. alt.food.recipies alt.food alt.recipies rec.food.recipes Thanks DA, now we are getting somewhere. There are loads and loads of other newsgroups relating to food and recipies. It is for that reason, just like when Darryl posted his sports topics, that I feel it violates the mandate. We all know what you feel. You may very well be right but, so far, all you have done is express opinion. Let's see specifically whether you are right or not by posting the mandate and pointing out the part that you think is being violated. I'll even help you with that. Here is the excerpt from the mandate FAQ which specifies what can be posted to nf.general, point out if you will which of these items Barry is violating; 2) What can be posted to nf.general? - its a discussion forum, for topics of interest to Newfoundlanders and Labradorians - no SPAM, commercial advertising or want-ads - not for want-ads or articles with binary-encoded material - for infrequent postings - as for most discussion groups, you should post only what you'd be willing to say to the person's face and avoid personal attacks Let me just point out one that is very obvious, which I'm sure you would agree with. In fact, Randy Dodge has pointed this out himself over and over again. If there are other newsgroups designated for such posts, the post should be directed to that particular newsgroups, not nf.general. For example, Darryl should route his sports post to nf.sports. Barry should route his recipes to one of the mention above. Well furthermore as I have pointed out for the third time, this is a discussion forum. Posted recipes does not generate a discussion (just look back). Carter I don't expect you to agree with me on this one, because something seroiusly bad may happen LOL. - Ukryj cytowany tekst -- Poka? cytowany tekst - Carter
