Why do so many people dislike MKT so much. I personally think it's the best MK game there is. One thing that I really can't understand is when someone will say how much they like MK1, MK2, MK3, or UMK3, but then that same person will say they don't like MKT, when MKT is all four of those games in one. MKT has the same game play as all the others, with more characters, backgrounds, etc. I'll admit that the N64 version wasn't all that great, but the PSX version of MKT, in my opinion is better than all formats of MK4.

I personally like MKT ( I pretty much like all the MK games ), but as |{ombat said it borrows too much dodgy gameplay from MK3 ( the one I dislike most ). Having all the characters in it  ( up to that point ) and introducing Chameleon was pretty cool I thought. Ernigmac

I'de rather play MK1 with its 7 playable characters, or MK2 with its 12 playable characters.. The only good thing that came outta the MK3/UMK3/MKT series wuz the run button..but i'de give that up for the kewlness and atmosphere MK2 had when u actually went to the arcade to play ppl..

MK3/UMK3 and MKT lost a lot of atmosphere and the characters looked too undefined (Compare MK2 Jax to MK3 and notice how undetailed MK3 Jax looks).   Add to the mix a really bad dial-a-combo system and some bad character design and you ge ta game that nearly ruined the series for me.  Thankfully, MK4 went back to basics and saved the series.
