What are the best mascaras that won't clump or flake? I've tried Maybelline and L'Oreal, but they both don't work for me. I've heard that Almay in the green bottle is supposed to be good, and I've heard that Clinique mascaras are also superior. What has been everyone's experience with mascaras that don't clump or flake? I'd like to get a non-waterproof as well as a waterproof kind. Any suggestions? (I'd prefer drugstore, but I'm willing to pay department store price.) What I love may not be what you wind up loving, but my faves: Clinique Naturally Glossy (I love this because it doesn't really look like mascara, but leaves lashes really pretty - darkened, lengthened, glossened... if that's a word. Plus, it doesn't make lashes spiky or stiff) Dior Long'Optic (also non-spiky, results in really long, soft, fluttery lashes. If you are dying to spend $20 on mascara, this is the one to get) Estee Lauder More than Mascara (got a GWP tube of this and it's great! I like the brush for either LO or NG better, but it's a nice mascara that gives a lush but natural look, wears well) Cover Girl Remarkable mascara (my fave low-end, it wears great and doesn't clump. it is a little stiffer than I prefer, but for the price you can't beat it with a stick) Neutrogena Weightless Volume (the most 'natural looking' of all meaning that if you want a dramatic look or a lot of thickening/lengthening, this one probably isn't it. But it leaves lashes very soft, doesn't flake at all, overall it's a nice mascara at a good price) The new Blackest Black Great Lash (but I only like it if I use a different brush! I have the tube with the curved brush and it still sucks, but putting the BB-GL on with a Long'Optic brush, totally different story! Looks nice, wears well, good budget mascara IMHO) What I don't like: Lancome Definicils (this is so average IMHO, I just don't see what the hype is about) Chanel... what's it called? The newest one I think, that is supposed to curl - Extracils? (Attack of the Spider Leg Eyelashes!! So clumpy I couldn't believe it, thank the gods this was just a sample and I didn't buy the stuff!) L'Oreal Lash Out and Featherlash (IMHO Lash Out is the best of the L'Oreal mascaras, most of this are horrible on me, but it flakes a lot, so I can't recommend it. However, Lash Out does come with a great brush. Featherlash is just bad) Almay One Coat (flakes!) Maybelline Full n Soft (does this really do anything? No visible results on lashes and smudges under the eyes, bleah. At least it's not stiff) Can't think of any more right now, but those are the ones that have really made an impression one way or the other.
