A friend of mine gave me bottles of this shampoo and conditioner (she got a '2 for 1'-deal and decided to be generous), but I'm afraid to use it! And not only because of the scary bright green bottles...   I vaguely remembered some negative comments here about this brand of shampoo and conditioner, and lo and behold, deja.com reveals some scary stuff about the amount of silicone in the products destroying the hair. But these comments are almost a year old so more people should have used it and formed an opinion about it by now. You who have tried it - I believe that it's not available in the US but I may be wrong - what do you think about it? As it contains a lot of silicone it will probably not work for me as my hair is fine. I've used the conditioner and the hair mask with no problems. Last time I was in the drugstore, I was comparing it to the L'Oreal elseve/colorvive and they have exactly the same ingredients word for word and listed in the same order. I don't know if the proportions are the same though. Fructis was cheaper, so being the cheapskate that I am, I went for that one. Fructis was launched (in the UK at least) & then there was some huge problem with it - so it was withdrawn & relaunched. IIRC that problem was that it left people's hair very sticky & 'dirty', but didn't actually do any immediate damage. OTOH, IMO the ingredients in this are cheap & nasty & I wouldn't use it on my hair & I certinly wouldn't rec it to anyone unless they had short hair with no chemical processes.

Well I have short hair. It's been bleached under the colour though, but contrary to many other shampoos, I don't get much colour bleeding with Fructis (The colour is a semi temp - stargazer). OTOH, Tigi shampoo for coloured hair just about left me with pure bleached hair again. I hate the bottle though. Colin
