About a month ago, I bought a face kit from Dr. Hauschka.  I've always wanted to try that line and this kit was perfect - it includes 6 samples in a neat _meta_l box.  I thought I would share my experience since we don't hear a lot of comments on Dr. Hauschka skincare in general. (But first, I'm sorry for my english, it's not my first language. Second, I have normal to oily skin (mostly normal) not sensitive and not prone to breakouts.) The products were: - Moisturizing day cream - Rejuvenating mask - Facial toner - Cleansing cream - Rose day cream - Cleansing milk And here's what I think of them... 1.  Moisturizing day cream All of the products have a weird smell, but this one wasn't as strong.  It's a very light cream, very fluid (almost like a milk) and penetrated my skin well.  Since it's so light I don't think I would recommend it for very dry skin, but it's one of my favorite products in the kit.  I won't buy it though, I prefer Olay total effects as an everyday moisturizer. 2.  Rejuvenating mask This mask has the consistency of a moisturizing cream, and it penetrates the skin.  It doesn't dry like a clay mask would so you don't feel like your skin is being pulled which I liked.  After I rinsed my skin was glowy and even a little bit dewy but not greasy.  I think this mask really does what it's name says and I will probably buy it.  Of all the masks I've tried, this is my favorite one (my other favorite one was biore self-heating). 3. Facial toner Weird smell.  Didn't seem like it did anything but I usually don't use a toner (only Aveda toning mist once in a while).  Obviously I won't buy this one. 4.  Cleansing cream This is my favorite one.  It really is like a very gentle exfoliant, with the tiniest grains (has the consistency of a paste).  Not harsh and not drying like many exfoliants are.  The only problem is the smell, like oranges gone bad.  I will probably buy it anyway. 5. Rose day cream This is a very rich creme, made my skin greasy.  It has a STRONG rose scent that I didn't like.  I'll maybe use it as a night creme, but I definitely won't buy it. 6.  Cleansing milk This is a nice, light cleansing milk.  I don't wear tons of makeup so I can't tell if it's good for taking it off but worked fine for me.  It didn't work better or worst than any other cleansing milk I've tried before so I'll probably just use the sample up and come back to my usual cleanser. All of the products have a weird smell All Dr Hauschka products are made with essential oils, and smell of these. IMO most of them smell very pleasant, and 'true' to the essential oils. But people who prefer chocolate, vanilla, and other non- herbal-type scents may not like them. The ingredients are listed, so you can tell what the product will smell of before you try it. Of the Dr Hauschka I've tried, my favourite product is Toned Day Cream, a tinted moisturiser which gives a wonderful healthy glow and soft feel. Tinted Emulsion, a bronzing lotion which you can use alone, or mix into other products to darken them, is also good. The mascara is excellent for a very natural look (darkens without lengthening or thickening) and smudgeproof. The eyeshadow is excellent quality, densely and evenly pigmented, although the colour combinations offered are rather old-fashioned. The lipstick is not bad, though nothing special, and wears off quickly. But all the make up's expensive, and I don't think, apart from the mascara, that it is particularly good value for money. I've also tried Rose Bath Oil and Body Lotion, and Lemon Bath Oil - all great if you like the scent, but I don't think you can expect anything more from this type of product. One product I would definitely avoid is the shampoo. I think this has the wrong pH or something. At any rate, it made my hair very dry and tangly, like washing with soap. great review, sylvie!! some of the dr hauschka products i have tried and liked include the cleansing cream...great gentle exfoliant, as you say the cleansing milk..i love the scent! and it's is a nice cleanser for those dry winter months. the blackthorn body oil....this is one i would never have tried had i not gotten a sample in a swap..it's a great winter body-warming moisturising oil. the tinted face cream..lovely finish! for folks interested, i think you can still buy  deluxe sample sizes of most of the products at www.beautyhabit.com.
