You're probably right about that. When you see it as a cartoon, it seems more like live action; I suppose as live action, it would seem cartoony. It occupies a middle space that makes it a little bit of an anomaly. Every now and then, it exhibits a flourish of animation, too, just for the joy of motion. Hard to pin down. Yeah, there was a pretty funny part on this week's ep. where Dale thinks he has rabies and goes nuts ....now, it was funny in animation...but imagine a live action guy jumping around, climbing up trees, with a laugh track....guh. PJs was interesting writing but went for the easy laugh too often. The writing on Family Guy was flat, predictable, and unimaginative. The writing on Clerks was the worst, at least the two I saw; very flat and not very funny or well developed. Then FOX should be making you their prime-pick Nielson viewer. You seem to like the fecal slurry they pipe over to your TV. There ought to be limits to freedom....
