What a rotten weekend. It started out with my spotting pink and cramping(I'm 8 weeks pregnant LMP today). It progressed to red bleeding and cramping to sporadic red spotting with some tiny tissues as of last night. Starting last Wednesday, I started getting morning sickness real bad which lasted on & off until Saturday when the pink spotting started. Then, it completely stopped. With our 1st m/c in 8/96, my pregnancy symptoms stopped a few weeks earlier and then I wasn't gaining weight(which I had no idea, I thought it was just going to be a very uneventful pregnancy). Spotting started and then it was all over. Actually, the baby died @ 6 weeks and I didn't have the m/c until 6 weeks later. 2nd pg, symptoms completely stopped again. The baby died @ 6 wks. old again. I was 9 wks.pg. The baby is now 6 wks. old, too. The strange thing, too, is I just had an ultrasound last Monday. The heartbeat was so strong. I'm calling the doctor's this morning as soon as they get in. I'm hopeful part of the time and deathly afraid the rest. Just looking for some support. Thanks for letting me vent, Chris

Thanks for letting me vent, Chris Chris- My thoughts and prayers are with you.  It is so difficult managing between the worry and hope.  During my three pregnancies last year (m/cs 3/96, 7/96, 12/96) I looked and longed for any pregnancy symptom everyday and worried when they disappeared.  (Why do these things always happen on week-ends?)  Be strong and let us know what happened. I'm new to the group after yesterday's news that the baby doesn't have a heartbeat.  I'm at 8 weeks but the doctor said that it looks like the baby stopped forming about a week ago.  I'm scheduled for a D&C in a week but am going to try to see if they can do it sooner.  I want the pregnancy symptoms to stop.  Do they stop immediatly after the D&C? I'm still in shock.  I was so happy to have reached 8 weeks and thought everything was fine since I had all the symptoms going strong.  It's just hard to believe that the dream ended. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself.  This group is great.  I can see that what happened is no so uncommon.  Does anyone know if the chances of this happening again are any higher? Dear Cheryl, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss

after a D&C it usually takes three days for the sighns of pregnancy to go away.  I am very sorry for your loss .  In most cases miscarriages only happen once I hope this is true for you.  Good Luck Julie
