I just reviewed this on MUA: I'm always looking for the HG straightener/frizz fighter to use in humid summer weather. I have color treated, naturally wavy hair, which is pretty easy to blow straight, it's keeping it straight that is the problem. I have side swept bangs, and they always curl up in a bad way when the humidity hits. I bought the trendline staightener online (goldwellonline.com) and it was about 18 with shipping. They included a little travel brush with my order. The product is in a pump, so you can leave it on the counter when you dispense it. It is a clear gel-like product. I use about one pump and distribute before blowing out. Then, I add a smaller amount on my bangs when they are dry, then pull them with a round brush and blow dry just the bangs again. Today, it is raining, and despite the humidity, my hair still looks smooth. Most impressive is that the bangs have not done any flipping or frizzing! I prefer this product to ones that are greasy (like waxes), it is not slimy at all. It also rinses very clean (I do no-shampoo every other day, and the product still came out). I highly recommend this one! Beth

If you want to know about the straightening balm then I can tell you that for me, it does a LOVELY job of enhancing my curls and making them wonderfully smooth. For straightening, however, it was a profound failure. That's not to say that I don't like it,  but for my hair, it has a result that's completely wrong, _base_d on the stated purpose of the product. None of this is unusual for me. Most straightening products do nothing of the sort for me and they work better to enhance and smooth my hair than curly products do. Go figure Stacy

Honestly, Freddy was my first.  Hard to believe, I know; but every girl must have their first.  And the first will always be more special than the others I picked up Freddy on Saturday.  I had always thought that straighteners would weigh down my fine hair.  Freddy is different.  For the past two days my hair has been amazingly sleek and straight.  I'm going to hang on to Freddy for awhile. Background: My hair has gotten curlier as I age.  I have the classic baby curls all around my face and with the slightest bit of moisture they roll up into perfect spirals.  Annnoying as hades I tell you!  I blow dry with a round brush. With Freddy I have found straight happiness (at least for this week!) but I have no previous happiness to compare Freddy to. Lisa
