I'm told that since Winchester went out of business, their older rifles have gone up in value. I have a beautiful Winchester .308 lever action rifle that has rarely been fired that was a gift to me for my 16th birthday back in 1978. It's in excellent condition and has had less than 100 rounds put thru it. There is checkering on the stock as well as etched carvings of oak leaves and acorns. Magazines appear to hold 5 rounds and I have 2 of them. A classically beautiful weapon! No, I'm not selling it. I was just curious about it's value. Attempts to google were fruitless.

should have asked this in my last reply...are you sure the rifle is made by Winchester, or is the receiver _style_d like a Winchester? I've looked at an old Gun Digest (1983) and found the Browning BLR ($394.95 in '83)to be closest to your de_script_ion.  All the Winchester lever rifles have tube mags.

I'm sure there are a lot of Winchester model 1895 owners out there that would question your All Winchester lever rifles have tube mags statement! The OP's rifle is some version of the model 88 Winchester.  Magazine fed, lever action, made from 1955 to 1973 in several variations.
